This is what Nick Tanis told me when I asked him for advice on one of my movies once. He was my film teacher at NYU in the summer of 2006. Basically this is all I want to do.

Curriculum Vitae

  • 2003 Started to work as production assistant, set runner, driver in commercials, TV shows and feature films in Vienna.
  • 2005 Won the audience award with my first short feature “AOEO” at the international short film festival OFENSIVA in Poland.
  • 2006 Did the summer program in filmmaking at NYU Tisch School Of The Arts.
  • 2007 Won the audience award for my New York short film “The Salesman And The Blind” at the international short film festival “Young, Short & Ambitious” in Vienna. Started to work as personal assistant for Mr. Stefan Ruzowizky on his feature film “Lilly the Witch: The Dragon and the Magic Book”
  • 2008 Went to L.A to go get the Oscar with Mr. Ruzowitzky. Started to shoot music videos for various austrian Bands.
  • 2009 Started to direct and film commercials for Internet, TV and Cinema. Also started writing on my first feature film with Boon T. Lai from Singapore. Held a lesson in Filmmaking at TBWA Vienna. Did more music videos …
  • 2010 was a year of traveling and preparation. I did a few commercials and music videos, went to some film festivals for our movie “Tiefensucht”  and wrote the script for my next short film “My Left Hand”. It turned out that this movie was going to be my first 3D movie and a great challange …
  • 2011 is the busiest year of my film career so far. I already shot my 3D short film. Luckily I got Marcello de Nardo and Max Meyr to play the lead roles in it! Harald Staudach was my awesome D.o.P. I also did a short film, one commercial and one music video and I have another short film coming up in June. After this is done, I’ll focus on the edititng of my own movie and on writing a script for a historical feature film …
